Our industry-focused courses combine hands-on practical experience, and industry work experience with nationally recognised qualifications, giving you the skills and knowledge for which employers are looking.

Work placement

A key feature of all VET courses is mandatory work placement, where students apply the skills and knowledge learned at school in a real workplace. Once students are deemed workplace ready by their trainer, students must complete 70 hours of work placement over two years35 hours in the Preliminary year and 35 hours in the HSC year. This is a NESA requirement, and students cannot continue into Year 12 in any subject if they do not complete the Preliminary work placement in their VET course.. Work placements provide students with invaluable industry experience, build confidence and employability skills, and often lead to ongoing opportunities in the workforce.

Some things you'll learn

All our VET courses provide pathways to further study or direct entry into the workforce. Students gain valuable work placement experience and graduate with nationally recognised qualifications that are respected by employers across Australia. Whether you're looking to start your career or enhance your existing skills, our VET programs offer practical, relevant training that makes a difference.
