Faculty vision

Human Society and its Environment (HSIE) explores the ways in which humans engage with the world, how societies function, and how they evolve. By studying HSIE subjects, students gain the skills necessary to become informed, active, and responsible citizens in today's world.

Some things you’ll learn:

Understanding complex social, cultural, and environmental issues that shape our world.

Exploring how historical events have influenced and continue to shape societies.

Examining how human societies function and interact with the environment, and the impact of these interactions.

Developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills to navigate real-world challenges.

Gaining insight into Australian law, business, and personal finance to help students become more informed and responsible citizens, equipped to make sound financial and legal decisions.
